Simply Seoul is an Atlanta based business that makes all natural, vegan kimchi, Korean BBQ steam buns and Korean BBQ sauces. Simply Seoul sources the finest ingredients, including locally grown organic produce. The inspiration of Simply Seoul comes from family traditions of artisanal Korean food that is simple and traditional.

We can be found at farmer's markets around the Metro Atlanta area serving up hand crafted steam buns with local, organic Korean BBQ. We also have seasonal varieties of kimchi. Our most popular Napa Cabbage Kimchi is most Atlanta big natural foods stores.

Kimchi is the lifeblood of all Koreans. My mother has been feeding me kimchi since I was a fetus in the womb. As a child, I lived in Seoul, Korea; it is the place that shaped my palate. The umami, spice, crunch and sweetness of kimchi is the thread in which the lives of Koreans are woven. Because of this, it is difficult to articulate when and how my love affair of kimchi began.

Realizing my passion was in the culinary world, I pursued a culinary career without any formal training. My first professional cooking job was at Bacchanalia as an extern. I learned on the job in a "sink or swim" fashion. Following, I cooked at the Porter Beer Bar, Miller Union, Holman and Finch and The Spotted Pig in NYC. I assumed I was working to become a traditional chef, but I actually was on journey to find out what exact passion in food brought me life.

It was to much surprise to me that the food I had always eaten was the key to my destiny. I have to stay true to who I am, what is in the essence of my soul; kimchi. Bidding farewell to the my life as a professional fine cook, Simply Seoul was born.

An Atlanta native, Streuss Heusel has been working in the restaurant scene since her early days in the city. After leaving culinary school, Streuss put her degree to use as the sommelier and wine buyer at Murphy’s Wine Shop.

After many chance meetings with Simply Seoul owner Hannah Chung, Streuss knew it was destiny. She left her career in wine sales to pursue her dreams as sidekick and partner to Hannah Chung of Simply Seoul. She is the operations manager of Farmer’s Market and wholesale sales.
